Undertow

Originally posted on August 31st, 2019.

I managed to squeeze one last summery design in before September rolled around ðŸŒŠ☀️

So as with a few of my designs, I overestimated my patience with patterns. I had originally planned to paint the full wave design (like on the index and pinky) on all of the nails, but part way through the index finger I realized that I just didn't have the patience for that. It might have been a different story if the blue that I chose for the waves wasn't semi-sheer, but with having to go back over the lines again and again, I just couldn't make myself paint more waves than I had to.

I still like the way it turned out though, with the individual waves getting some time to shine on the middle and ring finger nails.
This design was inspired by a print/patter that I saw on Pinterest which was made by Emily Kiddy!
