Bamboo

I have another recreation of an old design for you today! This time the design is even more recent - I first did it last November - but it was fun to redo all the same!

I think this design is really pretty and elegant; I've always really liked these kinds of simple watercolour paintings so I really enjoyed having this on my nails again!
To be honest, I think these actually turned out better the first time around - they were lighter and captured @anna_xiewei's original better - but hey, that's what you get for painting on camera!

Speaking of painting on camera, the reason I redid this design was because of an anon's tutorial request on tumblr. Since my nails were square the last time I did this design I couldn't just paint one nail now and use the old photos in the video, so I redid the whole thing! Here's the tutorial I filmed in case any of you would like to recreate this cute design!

Hope you enjoy the tutorial!

  1. This was a delightful video to watch. I particularly appreciated you showing how you mixed the paints, I'm still learning how to handle acrylics so that was really helpful. Loved the design and the soundtrack as well! :)

    1. Aww thank you! I'm glad you appreciated the bit on mixing - I was a little worried that people wouldn't find it useful! ^^
