Tempo

I can't believe... that SM made us wait like a year and a half for EXO's comeback. Granted, it was a very good comeback and therefore worth the wait but still.
Regardless, the DMUMT was fire and I had a pretty easy time working the Tempo music video into a design (I think, it's been a few months so I could just be glossing over the design process in my memory). Love it when I can keep a consistent colour scheme for the entire design!

Power Up

Red Velvet has a lot of comebacks in 2018. This design was inspired Power Up, the promotional song from their Summer Magic album. I have to admit, I wasn't much of a fan of the song on my first listen, but as with many RV songs it grew on me the more I listened to it. The mv was bright and colourful which made for the perfect, kpop-inspired summer nail design!

Did I have the self-restraint to wait until then to paint it though? Apparently not. 🙈😂
This design is inspired by look no. 66 from @moschino’s Resort 2019 Collection. 🎪🎟 There were a ton of really interesting pieces in the collection, but this one was my favourite in terms of nail art potential ✌🏻

Blooming Day
I don't know about anyone else, but I was a little surprised about the general vibe of EXO-CBX's latest comeback. Compared to Hey Mama! and KA-CHING!, Blooming Day is a lot more chill but I was definitely still feeling the album.

Very Nice
Hey guys!
So recently I've started keeping track of the number of time people request designs from certain kpop groups. Overall, I currently have 124 requests spread over 31 different groups. Obviously it would be pretty unrealistic to try to make designs for all of these groups (even if I did two designs a week and only focused on the requests it would still take me at least three and a half months). However, based on the sheer number of requests for a Seventeen design (about 13% of total requests), and the fact that they recently had a comeback, I finally caved and made a design for them. So here is my design inspired by the music video for Very Nice (aka 아주 Nice) by Seventeen.

NAFW2016 Day 3: Bag
I loved the theme for day three of Fashion Week because it gave me an excuse to indulge in looking through a bunch of designer bags! Even though some designer bags can be pretty impractical (as my friends continuously pointed out while watching me scroll through runway galleries), if I had the money my closet would definitely be filled with them!
Since there were so many cool bags I had a hard time picking just one. I finally decided that I needed to add a bright design in this week and settled on recreating this awesome backpack from Moschino!

EXO PLANET #2 The EXO'luXion
If you've been keeping up with me on Instagram for the past few weeks then you probably already know that I took a trip out to Vancouver over reading week! One of the main reasons I decided to go out West was to be able to go to the Vancouver stop during the North American leg of exo's EXO'luXion tour! Obviously my nails needed to be done in exo-style for the concert because I mean, common, I have a reputation to live up to, don't I? :P
For the first half of this post I'll be talking about the design as usual, but for the second half I'll be talking a bit about my concert experience! (There will be an obvious switch between the two parts so don't worry about it if you aren't interested in reading any in-depth concert info :P)

Xs and ♥s
Hey guys!
So if you follow my Instagram you've probably realized that I'm about three designs behind in write ups. The reason for this is that I was on vacation in Vancouver and while I did have internet connection and technically could have updated things around here, I really didn't have much time to do anything besides upload quick, pre-edited photos to IG and get on with sightseeing. As a result, you guys are now going to be getting three posts in a row while I catch up on things around the blog.
This first design was for Valentine's Day and even though the holiday has already passed I think this design would be wearable all year round!
