Day Two of Fashion Week is Shoes!
I may be playing into the stereotype here, but honestly who can deny how fun it is to browse through pages of pretty, gorgeous, and insane shoes?
I did a complete 180 from yesterday's delicate, pretty design and went for something more graphic and colourful!
I had a few different pairs of shoes set aside to choose from (including this eye catching pair by Kenzo, these Chrissy Morris shoes that I wanted to get my hands on, and these rosy wedges from Dolce & Gabbana), but my decision to focus on these mod Alexander Wang heels rested on the idea that I had on how to incorporate the negative space in the heels!
To be honest, the teardrop of negative space on the thumb, index and pinky fingers looked way better in person (it was such a cool illusion and kind of elongated my hands), but I still love how it turned out in the pictures.
As for the checkerboard, I really need to find an easier way to do that because it takes way to long sitting there freehand painting each individual square. I think the checkerboard looks pretty cool though and it definitely captured the graphic-mod look I was going for!
And that's what I have for shoes!
Can't wait to share my Bag-inspired mani with you tomorrow!
