Zimzalabim

Originally posted on June 28th, 2019.

Red Velvet released a lot of new music in the summer of 2019, but unfortunately with my schedule, Zimzalabim was the only comeback I was able to make a design for.

As I'm sure was the case with a lot of fans, I was surprised when I first heard the song but I definitely grew to like it. The music video was really fun too, though (I think) I had a bit of a time trying to come up with a design for it. There were a lot of interesting visuals, but trying to keep everything within a consistent colour scheme was a challenge.

I ended up taking inspiration from the balloons, roller coaster, one of Yeri's shirts, and the album logo, as you can see in the collage above.
I also somehow totally misjudged the spacing on the thumbnail and ran out of room for the last "a" and "l," but let's all just ignore that little slip up.

If you want to try this design out for yourself you can check out the tutorial on my Youtube channel below. Please remember to tag me (@nyanails or #looknyanails) on Instagram if you recreate this design so that I can see them!

Enjoy!
