Soft as Stone

Originally posted on April 25th, 2019.

Unlike the vast majority of my designs, this one is not actually hand painted. Today I'm trying out some nail stickers that I got as a PR sample from Twinkled T!

Marble Slab

I'm behind on uploading designs again, but this marble design is something that I did back in Mid-January for my graduation photos!

RIP

Halloween may be over but I still wanted to share some of the holiday-inspired designs that I did this year!

Piece By Piece

I don't know about the rest of you, but April has been a really busy month for me. On top of participating in Nail Art Fashion Week two weeks ago, April is exam month for me so I've had a lot of studying and writing to do as well. The good news though is that EXAMS ARE OVER!! I'm officially done my third year of uni and am very much looking forward to having the next four months off from the stress of looming deadlines.

As a result of trying to concentrate on studying, this week's design is just a simple geometric pattern loosely inspired by Daily Charme's packaging!

The Mortal Instruments (+ Tutorial!)

I've been doing a lot of music-inspired designs this year, but I'm doing something a little different today with this book-inspired design! Are there any Shadowhunter fans out there?

Thank You, Thank You Very Much

Eeep, I'm so late with this post, sorry guys!
I had a busy few days at work and didn't get around to writing up a full post on this design.

Anyways, as you may have already heard if you follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook, last week my friend and coworker Isabelle got married and I had the honour of doing her nails for the wedding!

Kiss Me, I'm Irish

I'm so, so, so late with this post, sorry guys!
After spending a solid week doing stuff for Fashion Week I've had to buckle down and study for my last midterm and work on group projects for school and didn't have time to post anything.

Here's just a quick post for my St. Patty's day design from last week!

NAFW2015 Day 7: Fall 2015 Runway Nail Art

I can't believe it's already the last day of Fashion Week! It's been such a whirlwind of scouring runways, painting, photographing, editing, writing and posting; it's made me really, really respect all of the amazing artists who regularly post new designs every single day.
For the last day of this challenge our prompt was to recreate Nail Art from the Fall 2015 Runway and I promised you yesterday that I would use this prompt to end things with a bang! Everything went according to plan and I think I've been able to follow through with that promise!
This design is inspired by the amazing designs created by CND for the Libertine Runway!

Product Reviews: Snowflake Decorations + Isosceles Triangle Studs

What better way to start off the year than to be trying some more gorgeous products from Born Pretty StoreI haven't done any reviews in a few months but I'm happy to be back at it; today I'll be doing a dual review of some very pretty Gold Snowflakes and Isosceles Triangle Studs which can both be found in the nail art section of BPS' website!

Holiday Houndstooth

It's my first holiday design of the year! I feel like I'm a little behind with my holiday manicures but exam season started last Friday so I've been studying a lot and haven't had much time for anything else (even though I would have much preferred pouring over nail polish colour choices than accounting notes).

This design is mostly an excuse to try out a new polish that I picked up, Glametal by Ciaté.

Then and Now: Scaled Down

Hello, hello! I've been gone for a week but for good reason: my cousin was getting married in Scotland and I was at the wedding!
My best friend let me borrow her prom dress for the wedding and I accessorized with black and gold; obviously my nails needed to match!

St. Patrick's Day

Oh look I'm finally on time with posting a holiday manicure! Exciting, right?

So green, so sparkly.
I've never really been sure how I felt about having predominantly green nails, but I think these are cute nonetheless.
Also I'm not sure why but I always seem to have trouble drawing shamrocks. Maybe I'll master the shamrock by next year.
I'm really feeling the gold glitter encrusted nail though, it's so shiny and it makes me wish glitter wasn't such a pain to take off, (because I'd be doing a lot more glitter manis).

Hope everyone's holiday is going well!

Pure Heart

I'm falling behind on updates again but I promise I'll catch up!
This is my first (official) Valentine's design of the year. I saw a gift bag with a similar colour-blocked heart when I was walking through Target the other day and that's what inspired this.
It was also a good excuse to use my Pure polish which is really pretty, if a little impractical. I quite like it though, so you may be seeing some more glitter manicures from me in the near future!

Happy New Year!

I'm about 2 weeks late but I hope you're all enjoying the new year! Happy 2014 everyone!

I wanted to have some classy back and gold nails to ring in the new year so I played around with some glitz to make it happen!
I had some fun with caviar bead placement and freehand gold swirls (that my friends kept insisting must be stamps - but they aren't!). While fun to do and gorgeous to look at, the glitter (as always) was a bit of a pain to take off but so  worth it! (The name of the gold sparkles also happens to be Kissed at Midnight which I thought was appropriate for the occasion!)

Again I hope you all had a great new years eve and I hope 2014 will be even better than 2013!

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 20: Water Marbled

And with that I'm finished the "Patterns" section of the 30 Day Challenge!
This means I only have one part left, "Inspiration."

I quite liked this manicure, bit the pictures really don't do it justice. The pink is bright neon and it goes surprisingly well with the metallic gold. My favourite nail also happens to be the thumb on my right hand so I've included a picture of that as well.

Products Used:
Essie - 941 Good as Gold
Essie - 1017 Bottle Service
Revlon - 955 Quick Dry Base COat
Sally Hansen - 300 White On
Seche Vite - Top Coat

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 8: Metallic Nails

This manicure was surprisingly time consuming, but it was worth it in the end. I really love this design, I think the lustrous gold over the matte black looks really sophisticated, and the black tips look like stylized french tips ~

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!
Nothing complicated for this manicure, just a simple glitter gradient and a little four-leaf clover on the thumb and ring fingers. Still, I think it's pretty cute ~
