Year in Manicures: 2019

It's almost 2021 and I'm FINALLY through my backlog of posts from 2019!! /cries

Looking at my 2018 year in review post, I said there that you could tell how busy I had been since I was writing the review post in March - I wonder how busy that means I was this year since I'm writing this post literally almost a year late...

Despite how far behind I fell with posts, I did manage to paint 70 designs for myself in 2019, as well as 12 videos for CutePolish (I'm a part of the team on Sandi's channel if you didn't know!).
Out of those 70 designs, I'm going to take a quick look back at my nine favourites from the year!

Year in Manicures: 2018

Happy New Year to everyone!

The fact that I'm writing this year-end post in March is kind of a testament to just how busy I've been this past year. Even though I've been busy with school and work, I still managed to paint quite a few designs in 2018 and I wanted to take a look back at some of my favourites from the past year!

Year in Manicures: 2017

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone's been having a good start to their 2018 so far!
If you follow me on Instagram (@nyanails) you may have seen that I was in BC over the new year. Since I was visiting a friend I didn't have much time to sit down and write blog posts, so it took me a little while to get this whole long post written out. Before starting in on new 2018 designs I wanted to take a look back at some of my favourite sets of nails from 2017!

Year in Manicures: 2016

Happy new year everyone!

2016 has been a really busy year for me which sometimes meant that I wasn't able to keep all of my social media accounts as up to date as I would have liked, and also meant that I wasn't able to do as many designs this year as I ideally would have liked to. With that being said, I did manage to create a grand total of 66 designs this year and received some pretty awesome opportunities! Before getting started on new designs for 2017 I just wanted to take a look back at my Top 16 Designs of 2016!

Happy New Year everyone!
Before we say goodbye to 2015 for good I wanted to take some time to look back at some of my favourite designs from the past year!

Year in Manicures: 2014

How has another year gone by already?! So much happened for the blog in 2014 that I'm almost sad to see it go. As I mentioned in my 2 year anniversary post, in the past year I've gotten N.Y.A.N. onto different social networks, started doing product reviews, and met some awesome people along the way! I won't go into detail about all that since I'd just be repeating myself, but I did want to take this opportunity to look back at some of my favourite designs from the past year!

Year in Manicures: 2013

2013 is officially over so here's a quick look back at some of my favourite manicures of the last year!

All Mapped Out - June 31st
I really like the aesthetics of this manicure and was so pleased with how the watercolours turned out!
Breaking News - June 22nd
Aside from these being a SHINee design, they were also the nails I had for my high school graduation so they're pretty special to me!
Happy (Holly)days! - December 21st
Arguably my most-viewed design of the year, I liked the simplicity of this design and how it was festive without being too in-your-face about it.
Big Yellow Taxi (aka Mr. Taxi) - August 31st
I loved this design for a few reasons. First being the design itself, second is that it reminds me of SNSD's Mr. Taxi and the third is that they're the nails I had when I started University!
Christmas Wishes - December 25th
In my mind this was the cutest mani I had all year; I'm a sucker for simple dotted nails. It's also based off a Christmas card from my neighbors and it was a huge hit at family Christmas.
The Summoning - November 24th
It took me a while to think of these but once I did I loved them! They were the perfect combination of watercolours and typography (another love of mine).
Coffee Shop - June 29th
Another kpop mani! This design still makes me laugh because I don't drink coffee, I just liked the song, but while I had them on people kept telling me how much they liked coffee too!
Wolf - June 1st
I couldn't leave this one out after laboring over those wolves! They were difficult but I'm still really proud of them.
Geometric - October 17th
Simple but pretty. These made me realize how fun it can be to work with geometric patterns as opposed to real "themes" or concept driven designs.
And that sums up my top 9 manicures of 2013!
Do you agree with my choices? What would your choices have been? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear from you guys!

- Becca.
