Year in Manicures: 2018

Happy New Year to everyone!

The fact that I'm writing this year-end post in March is kind of a testament to just how busy I've been this past year. Even though I've been busy with school and work, I still managed to paint quite a few designs in 2018 and I wanted to take a look back at some of my favourites from the past year!

Are your nails #NYE ready? ✨🍾 I’m finishing off the year with some @nail_unistella inspired sparkly cuticles! ✨ Glitter is always my favourite way to ring in the new year 🥳✨

First Snow

Originally posted on December 22, 2018.

I’m affectionately calling this design “First Snow” even though I don’t think I’ve seen snow around here since like mid-November 🤷‍♀️❄️

Not that I’m complaining since no snow = I don’t have to shovel, but we’re definitely not getting a white Christmas this year ☃️

Love Shot

Originally posted on December 15, 2018.

Just gonna say straight up that everything about EXO's Love Shot comeback killed me. The song, the styling, the music video, the choreo... I was perfectly happy to watch the music video over and over again while planning this design.

Amber Gone Rogue Tour

Back in December I was fortunate enough to snag VIP tickets for the Toronto stop on Amber's Gone Rogue Tour!

This is an example of a design that looked way better in my head than I think it did in reality. 😅

Just Tri It

Originally posted on November 17, 2018.

Before painting this design I had an unfortunate run-in with my fridge and broke my middle nail down into a nub. The break was too bad to try to save, so all of my other nails had to be sacrificed and filed down to the shortest they had been in a good 3 years.
