Baby Yoda

Baby Yoda on my nails, I painted.

Baby Yoda has been everywhere lately, so what better character to add to my Character Cuticles series this month?

I must confess: I've never seen The Mandalorian.
I've also only ever seen two Star Wars movies - whichever one it is that Luke finds out who his father is, which I watched when I was maybe 11; and I thiiiink Rogue One, which I watched on a plane and was very confused the whole time because I thought it was one of the ones with Daisy Ridley and then she never showed up. So needless to say I was kind of going in blind with this design. Sure I'd seen baby Yoda memes everywhere, but I didn't really know anything about him.
What is he wearing? A blanket? A jacket?
What is he carrying? A cup? A bowl?
I had (and still have) no idea. BUT! I went through enough pictures of the little guy that I think I was able to come up with some pretty decent paintings of him!

Since he's pretty detailed, I didn't want to paint 5 whole Baby Yoda's like I usually would for this kind of design, so I only painted two - one plain and one holding his bowl/cup thing.
For the other nail, I wanted something super simple, so I settled on some minimalistic, black stars.

If you want to try this design out for yourself you can check out the tutorial on my Youtube channel below. Please remember to tag me (@nyanails or #looknyanails) on Instagram if you recreate this design so that I can see them!

Enjoy!
