Jopping

Originally posted on October 10th, 2019.

Cause when we're jumping and popping... we're JOPPING! 🤘
There were a lot of differing opinions about SuperM's concept when they first debuted - and some fans are still divided on it - but I'm personally totally here for it. I love being able to see so many of SM's powerhouses perform together in one group (and let's face it, seeing Taemin and Jongin in a group together at last is something to be hyped about)!

Since I was so excited for their debut, I kind of went all out for the design.

Ge(Oh)metric

I've noticed some other people doing this as well, but after seeing Sehun rocking some nail art the past few weeks and I wanted to recreate his nails for myself ✌🏻

Fly

Hey guys!
After doing a really complicated design for my last set of nails (inspired by EXO-CBX's Japanese debut) I wanted to do something simple and fresh this time around!

WoW!

Ok, so I usually try to limit my kpop designs to only very current songs, (or else with the number of requests I get I would literally be doing nothing but kpop designs for the rest of my life), but this idea has been stuck in my head ever since Lovelyz released their music video for WoW! back in February and I just couldn't let it go!

Abstraction

After swatching a few polishes from Londontown in my last post, I wanted to do a design with one of the polishes! Like I mentioned before, BRILL-ant way my favourite out of the 4 polishes I tried out and so I did a simple but cool geometric design over top of it.

Lucky One

I am the Lucky One ~
The second and final part of my mini EX'ACT comeback series is here! I had a much harder time coming up with this design than I did when tackling the mv for Monster, but after some stress I finally managed to pull together a design for Lucky One!

Encrusted

More formal nails today; this time I went with silver instead of gold for the accent!

Overdose

Wow I am so late with this post but I have a valid excuse this time around: I was out of the country.
Moving on, Exo recently came back with their newest mini-album Overdose and you all know that means I have to do a manicure in honour of it, so here you go!

Criss Cross Applesauce

For some reason I had the insane idea that this would be a super quick and simple manicure.
I was so wrong.
While there isn't anything really complicated about this design it can get really tedious drawing that many lines. It's also time consuming making sure they're spaced correctly and are thin enough.
In the end though, I'm pretty happy with the design. If you want to try it yourself though, I would recommend leaving yourself a good chunk of time to do so.

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 30: Inspired by a Tutorial

The last day of the 30 days is upon us!
Wow, while it feels like it went fast I'm also realizing that it took me almost a year to finish a month long challenge. Oh well.
Anyways, this lovely plaid print was inspired by Mr.Candiipants' tutorial which you can watch for yourself here.
It's a very simple and easy to follow tutorial and the result is such a cute flannel print! Yay!

I wasn't originally going to have the jean print for the accent nails but my roommate convinced me that it would be perfect with the flannel ~

Two more posts for the 30 Day Nail challenge, one recreation of a manicure from the challenge and then I have a post planned to summarize the challenge.

Halloween Nails

Hi all, sorry I've been MIA once again, I've been really busy!
With that being said, here's a masterpost of all of the different Halloween designs I did this year!

I had some fun with the Halloween designs and I think I got in a pretty good variety. Bloodsucker was probably my favourite of the season even though it was the simplest.

If you want to know any of the products used for the individual manicures just let me know ~

I Wanna Dance

Well would you look at that, it's time for another Music Video inspired manicure!

The short version of I Wanna Dance by Super Junior's Donghae & Eunhyuk was released this past week, and since SuJu is my bias group, a manicure needed to happen.
I had a bit of a hard time picking out outfits and sets to recreate this time around, but I think I found some pretty good ones.

Eunhae's video is so fluffy and cute, I hope I captured that with this design!
Fun facts about this manicure, I redid both the thumb and pinky on my left hand because I wasn't happy with the original designs. I tried to recreate Eunhyuk's green jacket on the thumb and one of the backup dancer's shirts on the little finger, neither of which turned out the way I planned.
But I think everything turned out alright in the end ~

Like usual, if you want to see the exact scenes used or if you're interested in the (many) products that went into the making of this manicure you can find them under the cut by clicking on the "Read More" button!

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 14: Floral

I use this design relatively often for pedicures, so why not turn it into a manicure for this prompt? The stripes on the thumbs are a little thicker than the ones on the rest of the nails, I'm not sure which way I prefer, but either way I think these nails look really cute for the change from spring to summer!

Products Used:
Rimmel London - 100 Base & Top Coat
Revlon - 955 Quick Dry Base Coat
Revlon - 305 Sublime Strawberry
Sally Hansen - 300 White On
Sally Hansen - 6380-03 Magenta Madness
Quo by Orly - 59701 Black
Essie - 922 Mojito Madness
Sinful Colors - 940 Rise & Shine

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 12: Stripes

Whoops, I forgot to post this update last week, sorry about that!
I tried to do something a little different for this prompt, so instead of just doing normal stripes, I made them into mini bar codes! The little numbers were killer, what with all the little curves, but I think they looked half decent, (on my left hand).

Products Used:
Revlon - 955 Quick Dry Base Coat
Rimmel London - 100 Base & Top Coat
Rimmel London - 110 French White Nail Tip Liner
Sally Hansen - 300 White On
Quo by Orly - 59701 Black

Dream Girl

As some of you may know, SHINee made their comeback this past Monday with Chapter 1 of their 3rd Studio Album, Dream Girl: The Misconceptions of You.
In honour of their long awaited comeback, I did a manicure inspired by the music video for their title track, Dream Girl!

Each nail is different and each one is inspired by either an outfit or a set in the music video. Can you find where each design is from?

I'm really, really excited and pleased with these nails and I'm going to be smiling like an idiot all week because I have a little piece of SHINee on my nails!

If you're interested in the products used for this design or are curious as to the exact scenes I used for inspirations, click the "Read More" button below!
