I'm Charmed (Flower Charm Review)

Hey guys! Last up in this round of Born Pretty Store Reviews are some cute flower charms!

These charms come in a two piece set and each charm is about 6 x 9mm. The flower charms come in 6 different colours (I’m working with #160, the white flower), and this product also comes in another pattern (a kind of 80s-looking triangle thing which I won’t be talking about in this review).

I’m usually not a big wearer of large charms because they can be impractical - I don’t need my nails catching in literally everything, thank you - but I thought that these charms were pretty and since I haven’t used charms in a while I thought I’d give it a go.

I wasn’t entirely sure what kind of design to do with the charms once I got them, but the little diamond parts of the charm looked kind of blue so I thought that starting with a light blue gradient would probably be a good idea.

Once I’d finished the gradient and applied the charms, all I had to do was figure out what to do with my other three nails. In the end I decided on gold glitter stripes to go with the gold setting of the charms.

Another quick word about the charms themselves, they are curved to fit your nail which is generally a good thing, but it also means that you can only put them on your nails sideways (as pictured). When I originally got them I thought I’d have them going down the nail instead of across it but that’s not really possible with these charms. So not really a big issue, but just a head’s up if you were thinking the charms would look nice placed vertically on the nail.

Overall I think these charms are really cute. I didn’t keep them on long enough to really tell if they stay on well, but I assume that they would given that you stick them on using nail glue and not just topcoat. If you’d like to try these charms out for yourself they retail at C$5.46 (US$4.10) and as mentioned previously come in different patters.

As always, BPS offers free worldwide shipping and my code FHX31 will get you a 10% discount on your entire order.

Thanks for reading!

xo,
Becca.

    1. Yeah, they're a little big for me too (I honestly took them off right after taking the pictures) but at least they looked good for the photos! :P
And thank you! I'm glad you like the gradient! ^^
