19

Hey guys! So you might have figured out from my lack of posts recently that October is a busy month for me. Between midterms, assignments, (Canadian) Thanksgiving and Halloween it's also the month of a thousand birthday's including my own!
Between studying on Saturday and celebrating my birthday on Sunday I took some time out to do this birthday design!

Since I'm still pretty swamped with school work and won't have time to redo my nails in the next few days, I decided to go for a kind of subtle design so that I didn't have to be walking around with party nails for a week.

I ended up going for autumn-looking a gradient using Essie's Mochacino (which is has an awesome subtle shimmer just like Naughty Nautical!) and OPI's My Vampire Is Buff. And what else could you possibly put over a gradient other than tribal print?!
To make sure it was still kind of festive for my birthday I added the "19" onto the middle and ring fingers!

I had a wonderful birthday with lots of kind messages from friends and family and even got an amazing surprise from Brit, the best roommate ever (do you read this part of my blog Brit? Do you listen to me trying to think of interesting things to say about my designs?), and the amazingly talented Robin of Roaring Nails! Thanks again to both of you, you're the best! ♥

Products Used:

Essie - Good as Gold

Essie - Grow Stronger Base Coat
Essie - Licorice
Essie - Mochacino
OPI - My Vampire is Buff
Seche Vite - Quick Dry Base Coat

xo,
Becca.

  1. This design looks so good! I love how subtle birthday-ey it is :) The gradient looks really jummy too, it reminds me of coffee and whipped cream :D I'm glad you liked the surprise!
