Back in December I was fortunate enough to snag VIP tickets for the Toronto stop on Amber's Gone Rogue Tour!
I've been to a lot of concerts in the past few years, but I have to say, these are my absolute favourite concert nails to date (and that's including the two concert sets I've painted since Amber's show in December).
I kind of struggled with inspiration for this design because the concert poster was just Amber and painting her was a challenge I wasn't really up to tackling. Once I'd veto-ed the poster, I started looking back at Amber's most recent song releases and remembered how much I loved the album art for White Noise and Lost at Sea. From there it was easy enough to come up with the design by combining the album cover with the font from the concert poster.
All the little lines were time consuming to paint but they were soooo worth it!
On top of early entry to the venue and a grab bag with some merch, the VIP package also included a meet-and-greet and one-on-one photo with Amber! It was so cool to be able to meet her; my only regret is that I was too caught up in a thank-you-war with her ("thanks for coming to the show" "well thanks for coming to Toronto" etc) to show her my nails 🙈
The show was great though, Amber's stage presence really is amazing!
Hopefully she comes back to Toronto again (and I'll definitely make sure to show her my nails next time)!
