Warm Wishes

Second winter design! I'm really excited about this one because it's a combination of sweater nails (which I've been meaning to do forever) and tea which are basically my two winter essentials. How is tea involved in this you may ask? Well, after seeing a ton of super cute Tim Horton's holiday cups around campus I picked up a tea for myself so that I could use the cup as reference for a design!

The cups are so cute I just couldn't resist recreating the design on my nails! They come in different colours too; the light blue (that I'm holding above) is the large, the medium is red, extra large is dark blue and small is a kind of mustard yellow. They all have different patterns on them too, so the light blue was the only one with the polar bears on it!

This actually turned out way better than I thought it would so I'm really happy! The polar bears were tough to do, I even started drawing on the cup and dividing the bears into cubes to map out where the legs ended in relation to the ears etc.

I was also really luck to have a colour so similar to the cup on hand. The base colour I've used is Essie's Parka Perfect what I absolutely love to use in the winter because it looks so frosty with its slight shimmer.

As you can see I didn't even try to paint the polar bears on my right hand and settled for the flowers/snowflakes. They were definitely easier to paint with my non-dominate hand than bears would have been haha! And let's not even talk about how long I stood in front of my camera trying to take pictures of both of my hands - it's so hard trying to find a comfortable pose that shows off both the cup and my nails! But yes, I'm much happier with this design than I was with my previous one and hopefully you are too!

Products Used:
Essie - Grow Stronger Base Coat
Essie - Parka Perfect

  1. These are toooooo pretty!!! Becca you never cease to amaze me with your nail art! :D The polar bears are so so cute, and I love how you made them a bit "pixelated" like on the cup (cutest cup ever by the way).

    1. Ahhhh Robin, you're way too sweet to me I swear! ^^
I'm glad you like the pixelation! I wasn't planning on doing that at first but then I realized that I'd done everything else in that style so the bears had to match it!
And yes the cups are super cute! If they make ceramic mugs like them I'll definitely be buying them haha :P
