I have another Born Pretty Store product review for you guys today! I’m trying out another set of water decals today and this time they’re floral patterned.
These decals come in a one sheet set but on the one sheet there are two patterns, each with two rows of five decals (i.e. enough for one full manicure in each pattern).
As you can see in the photo above, each row of decals is already pre-measured into 5 nail-sized strips. This is really convenient since it cuts down on the amount of measuring you’ll have to do, but it might be a bit of a drawback if you have wider nails. I decided to cut the decals along these lines to see how they would fit my nails and they were a good width for all but my thumbnail; however, I think the thumbnail being slightly too thin may be my fault because I trimmed the decal into a more nail-shaped piece before applying it and this may have caused it be become slightly thinner.
In terms of performance, these decals are pretty good. They slide off of the backing sheet easily and while I found them to adhere to the polish a little quickly for my liking they were still easy to apply. They’re completely flat like all decals, and I think they would stay on for a while.
In terms of aesthetics though...
In my personal opinion these decals aren't the best. They're definitely not my style and I honestly couldn't think of anything to do with them which is why I ended up with the two bars of decals across the middle and ring fingers. That's what happens I guess when you get sent extra products to review that you didn't pick out. While I do appreciate any extra products, it's difficult when you're sent something that doesn't peak your creativity.
If you’d like to try these decals out for yourself you can find them in BPS’ Nail Art section by searching the product ID (#20606) or by clicking here. As I mentioned previously, the one sheet in the set includes 2 different patterns, and the decals sell for $C 3.60 ($US 2.99).
BPS offers free shipping on all orders, and you can get 10% off your order by using my code FHX31.
(Polishes used for this design are Essie's Chillato and Ruffles & Feathers)
