Spring Day

Passing by the edge of the cold winter, until the days of spring, until the days of the flower blossoms ðŸŒ¸❄️

BTS recently came back with a repackage album You Never Walk Alone and as soon as I saw the mv I knew I wanted to do a design inspired by their title track Spring Day!

This is actually one of the few music videos I've seen where I knew right away what kind of design I wanted to do for it. When the video started I was a little concerned because it looked like it was going to have a story line without much design material to latch onto, but I was happy to find that by the end of it there were some symbols I could transfer onto my nails. The train, the tree, and the shoes all seemed like important symbols in this video so I found a way to incorporate all of them into a single design.
I don't usually do landscape designs across all of my nails, but I like how this one turned out! I think the only other time I did a design that connected across my nails was for SNSD's Party music video.

For the thumb I decided to recreate the logo from the repackage album. It didn't really turn out as well as I would have liked for a few reasons. First, it was off center even though I had squared off the nail before hand so that I could proportion it correctly; and second, because I was using a thin polish I needed to put white underneath it so that it'd show up properly over the green. However, the orange didn't cover the white completely which looked a little awkward.

I also did a little sketch of the design before hand to plan it out!

I also filmed a tutorial for this design if you want to try it out. If you do recreate it please tag your photos with #looknyanails so I can see them!

Enjoy!
