So I'm clearly a liiiiiittle bit late with these, but here are the nails I did for St. Patrick's Day last month!
I'm not sure why I always have a difficult time with St. Patrick's Day designs. I think the whole aesthetic of the holiday just feels gimmicky to me, with all the cartoon-y green and gold and beer references. Also I suck at drawing shamrocks, so there's always that.
This year I based my St. Paddy's day design on some cookies that I saw on Pinterest (click here for source). I originally tried to do them with a kind of dry marble method, but it didn't work out the best on my thumb so I stuck to hand painting the shamrocks on the rest of the nails. I also changed the white dots around the perimeter of the cookies to gold because white on white polish doesn't exactly show up. 😜
Even though it's been a few weeks since the holiday, I hope you all had a fun St. Patrick's Day! 🍀☘️
