I feel like with holiday designs I'm always stuck between having too many ideas and no ideas (or alternatively, just not liking any of my multitude of ideas). I felt like that this year too, I felt like I had no idea what I was doing but had like 5 partially thought out ideas floating around. It took me an entire day, but I finally settled on two Halloween designs for the year. This is the first of the two designs!
Do you think I managed to fit enough ghosts on my nails? It's like I have an entire army of ghosts, which, incidentally, is the name of the print that inspired this design (click image for source):
I was having a hard time deciding between doing a cute or creepy design and I think this one strikes a pretty good balance!
I'm also pretty happy with how clean this turned out; a girl in my marketing class was shocked when I told her this was hand-painted and honestly even I think it looks like a sticker because of how uniform everything turned out!
So all in all I'm quite pleased with my first actual Halloween design of the year; hopefully I'll like the next one just as much!
I should have the next post up on the 31st!
