I honestly never do anything for idols’ birthdays, but the timing worked out for this one since I didn’t have any pressing design plans and Kai’s my ult bias 🤷♀️ Also the idea of having little Rilakkumas on my nails was too cute to pass up! 🐻💕
I thought about using Jongin's own drawing of a bear for this design, but in the end I decided on Rilakkuma because I've been planning on doing nails like this for a while and just never found the opportunity.
I don’t have a Rilakkuma plushie to take a picture with, so I enlisted the help of one of my old teddy bears as a background prop in the second pic 😜🧸
I loved this design a lot when I painted it, and the response it got on Instagram was overwhelmingly positive! Since then I've turned these character cuticles into a series, so you can expect more cute little characters to be gracing my nails in the coming months!
