A little while ago I was scrolling through Pinterest looking for inspiration for designs and I came across one of those colour palettes where some solid colours from a photo are selected and overlaid on the image. I really liked the colour scheme of it, and thought it would be a cool concept to try to transfer to my nails. It would have been a little too time consuming to paint an actual picture as the background, but I thought a solid, light grey background would give the design a sleek, clean look.
I had originally planned to use five different shades in the design, but I couldn't find another shade of blue that really fit in with the other colours, so three it was. I feel like only having three colour blocks was actually a good thing though, because it allowed me more space in order to make the squares larger.

I really like how this nail design turned out, and I think it might be something I want to eventually turn into a series. I'm thinking of making one every season as a kind of colour palette that reflects colours for that time of the year. Is that something that you guys would like to see?
