Tarepanda

For the past few years I've started off the year with cute character-inspired designs and I wanted to do the same this year! While I was browsing for inspiration I ran across Tarepanda - a lazy, droopy panda character form San-X - who I felt would make a really cute design!

I wasn't 100% sure at first how I wanted to set this design up, but after a bit of brainstorming I decided to use the droopy shape of Tarepanda's head to my advantage and set it up as a  kind of half moon/ruffian design!

I also wasn't sure what I wanted to do as the base colour and went through a few options - such as raspberry pink, a grey gradient, or dark blue - before settling on Mint. I went with Mint Candy Apple from Essie mostly because it's a really nice polish and I just haven't used it in a design in a while. I think it went well with the cute little Pandas so I'm happy with my choice.
