Neko Atsume

One of the things that I've noticed over the years I've spent nail art blogging is that people seem to really appreciate it when I do cute designs. I'm not sure if I'm just particularly skilled at making cutesy designs or if it has to do more with my audience's preferences, but whatever the reason the fact remains: cute designs go over well. With that in mind, here's my latest foray into cute designs, this time featuring some cute kitties from the popular game Neko Atsume!

I should probably confess upfront that I didn't actually play this game until about a week ago when I downloaded the app as reference for this design. Neko Atsume is something I've been seeing all over tumblr for a while now and I thought that the adorable little kitties would be super cute to have on my nails! After downloading the app though I've definitely gotten into the habit of checking in on my cats often (my friends were joking that I'm becoming at cat lady at the age of 20 lol).

The thumb features a specific cat from the game, (I believe it's called Gozer but I'm honestly not familiar enough with the game to be sure haha), while the middle finger is inspired by what I thought was the icon for the app but doesn't seem to be (at least from the version I downloaded) as shown below. The other three fingers are inspired by different options in the game menu.

I wasn't sure if I was going to make a tutorial for this design but it ended up being so popular on Instagram (I swear this has been my lost liked design since like June or something) that I felt like not making a tutorial would probably be a mistake lol.
So, if you're feeling this cat design then here is the how-to on recreating it for yourself. Don't forget to credit me if you try it out for yourself ~

Enjoy!
